FAQ

How much Speed do I need for the Enchanted Forest?
About 50 billion Speed — the highest gate in the game, more than double Angels & Demons (~20B). Bring margin for heavy eggs.
What is the guardian of the Enchanted Forest?
A giant purple lion covered in stars with golden paws — the creature on the game's current icon. It sleeps beside the nests and chases egg thieves; its official name is unconfirmed.
What pets hatch from Enchanted Forest eggs?
An 8-pet Index — Prism Gecko, Petal Beetle and Astral Jackalope are confirmed so far, with five more being verified. Completing the Index awards a new weapon.
How do I open the sealed tree in the Enchanted Forest?
Grow the Wisp to stage 4 — steal 20 Enchanted Forest eggs, fuse an Enchanted Forest pet, and steal any Eternal pet — then return it to the tree.

What is the Enchanted Forest?

The Enchanted Forest is the newest biome in Steal An Egg, added in Update 7 on October 3, 2026. It sits above Angels & Demons at the top of the progression ladder — a night forest of lanterns, glowing mushrooms and crystal formations, and currently the hardest zone to farm in the game.

Speed requirement and guardian

Community checks put the recommended gate at roughly 50 billion Speed — the highest in the game. That is the entry bar, not a comfort zone: large eggs slow your carry, and the guardian is fast. Players farming Divine-tier nests here are running well above the listed figure.

The guardian is a giant purple lion covered in stars, with golden paws — the creature now fronting the game’s icon. It sleeps beside the egg nests and wakes to chase thieves like every other biome guardian. Its official name is not yet confirmed.

Egg pool and Index

The zone’s eggs hatch an 8-pet Index. Confirmed names so far:

Pet Rarity Income
Prism Gecko Verifying Verifying
Petal Beetle Verifying Verifying
Astral Jackalope Verifying Verifying
+5 more — —

Completing the full Index awards a new weapon. A Starry Fox secret egg also spawns in the open biome — it is announced server-side and contested by everyone in the lobby, so treat it like a rare-spawn race.

The Wisp, the sealed tree and the secret room

The biome’s real depth is its quest chain:

  • The Wisp (a golden spirit marked by a yellow circle) only appears to players meeting the Speed gate.
  • Its Grow Your Wisp questline asks for: 20 Enchanted Forest eggs stolen → one fusion using an Enchanted Forest pet → any Eternal pet stolen.
  • Completing it unseals the Enchanted Tree, opening a secret room with a Butterfly Net, a Conversion Center, an Enchanted Mutation Shrine, a mushroom puzzle, and the Jitterbug egg and Cricket’s Banjo rewards reported inside.
  • A timed Butterfly Bloom event in the biome pays Enchanted Essence for caught butterflies.

How does it fit into progression?

Enchanted Forest extends the ladder past Angels & Demons — the new ceiling for income and Index completion. Farm it like every zone: only once your Speed comfortably clears the gate, and with pen slots free for the hatch times at this tier. Cross-check what its pets earn on the all pets index and watch the update tracker for balance retunes.
