What was the Monster Update?

The Monster Update (often titled Monsters Are Coming) landed around August 29, 2026 — Update 2 in the weekly cadence — and permanently raised the endgame bar. It introduced the Titan Temple biome behind a roughly 7 billion Speed gate, the Monster Egg premium shop pool, and the limited Hungry Monster event with its Parasite eggs and Monstrous mutation.

Titan Temple: the 7B wall

Titan Temple sits past Cherry Blossom on the progression line, with Gorilla King as guardian — one of the fastest chasers in the game, so arrive well above the 7B bar. The egg pool skips the early rarity tiers entirely:

Hatch times scale hard at the top — Mutant Shark, Gorilla King, and Nightflame eggs can sit for hours, so keep pen slots open before you commit a carry.

The Monster Egg (shop)

The update also stocked the Monster Egg — a Robux shop pool of six monster-themed pets with a rare Mecha variant chance. It was optional acceleration, never a requirement to enter the temple, and it rotated out when the Luminous Egg took its shelf in the Angels vs Demons update. Previously hatched Monster/Mecha pets remain on accounts that got them.

Hungry Monster and the Monstrous mutation

The limited Hungry Monster (Hungry Frog) event ran alongside the launch: Infested / Parasite eggs could be fed to an event NPC for Monster Chests, boosts, and the Monstrous mutation path. Parasite remains listed on the mutation table — event-linked mutations rotate, so confirm the NPC is live before farming for it.
